“Ania was a generous teacher who shared lots of tips and ideas as well as a clear structure for us to follow... I left feeling it was possible to raise the funds for my project.”

Talks

Ania has spoken and taught across universities, festivals and photography organisations since 2016, covering both the conceptual and practical sides of a creative practice.

Her talks draw on her own artistic practice and research, exploring photography, archives, women’s histories, memory and representation, as well as the process of developing research-led work and collaborating with museums and collections.

Recent talks have explored Lee Miller’s life and work at the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum; working with soil, memory and difficult histories at the University of Copenhagen; Sophie Gaudier-Brzeska and her Anthology at Kettle’s Yard and the University of Essex; and, in a talk for the National Galleries of Scotland, the development of “I Also Fight Windmills.”
